Branvas pieces are made for everyday wear and our gold-plated sterling silver carries an anti-tarnish e-coating - but we do not sell them as waterproof, and we do not publish a lifespan figure for constant wear.
What we can confirm
The metals are sterling silver (genuine S925), gold-plated stainless steel, and gold-plated eco-brass.
Everything is lead-free and nickel-free.
Gold plating is applied by eco-friendly electroplating and finished with an anti-tarnish e-coating.
Skin sensitivity
Nickel and lead are the two metals most commonly behind skin reactions, and neither is used in our pieces. Before you use the word "hypoallergenic" in your own marketing, check how it is regulated in the markets you sell into — the claim carries more legal weight in some places than others, and the responsibility for your listing copy sits with you.
Water and everyday care
Advise your customers to remove their jewelry before showering or swimming. Water, soap, and chlorine shorten the life of any plated finish.
We do not hold water-resistance, sweat, or salt-spray test results, so please do not describe our pieces as "waterproof" or "tarnish-free" in your marketing. If you want a range for customers who will get their jewelry wet, the stainless Steel Edit line is the collection to look at — but the same caution applies to the claims you make about it.
Constant, 24/7 wear
We will not put a number on how long a piece lasts under continuous wear, because it depends on the customer's skin chemistry, climate, and habits. The honest answer we give sellers is: order samples. Handling the pieces yourself and wearing them for a couple of weeks tells you more about the finish and durability than any figure we could quote.
Where to check a specific piece
Exact material specifications are listed on each product's detail page in the catalog. If the detail you need is not there, email [email protected] before publishing a claim.
