Important: Phone numbers required for certain regions
Orders shipping to the U.K., Europe, and Mexico require customer phone numbers. Carriers in these regions need phone numbers to coordinate delivery and contact customers if needed. Missing phone numbers can cause fulfillment delays or returned shipments.
How to require phone numbers at checkout:
In your Shopify admin, go to Settings → Checkout
Find the phone number field settings
Set the phone number field to "Required"
Save your changes
This ensures all orders include the information needed for smooth international delivery.
