If you're shipping to countries outside the U.S. and U.K., phone numbers are required by carriers and customs for delivery. Missing phone numbers can cause fulfillment delays or returned shipments.
How to require phone numbers at checkout:
In your Shopify admin, go to Settings → Checkout
Find the “shipping address phone number” field
Set the field to "Required"
Save your changes
This ensures all orders include the information needed for smooth international delivery.
